On April 5, 2016, we added a quick appointment search tool (for Platinum and Enterprise subscribers) that lets administrative users search for appointments by entering a Confirmation Number. When enabled, the new search option shows above the calendar on the left-hand side of the Appointment Grid in Site Administration.
NOTE: Although it is not currently possible to search for Events by confirmation number, we plan on adding full support for Events in future software update.
How it works
The new search tool will automatically show for Platinum and Enterprise accounts that have the “Appointment Page” section of the Confirmation Number (apt_id_unique) field set to V (view only).
If you currently use the system to automatically generate a confirmation number for each appointment, the new option will make it possible to quickly view the details of any appointment after entering its unique number. Simply enter the confirmation number of an existing appointment in the search box, then click the Go button. If a valid match is found, the Appointment Page will automatically open and show the applicable appointment details.
If a search is completed without entering a full confirmation number, a search results page will list all of your existing appointments with matching appointment confirmation numbers. You can then view the details of any listed appointment by clicking on its confirmation number link.
