Starting in April, we will phase out the “E-mail” format option currently found in the Customer Report section of the administrative interface. This change will only affect the ”E-mail” option and will not disable any of the other features currently found in the report. You will now have your choice of four reputable email service providers to use for any commercial emails you send through AppointmentPlus.
Email marketing options
The AppointmentPlus strategic relationships with Constant Contact, iContact, MailChimp, and VerticalResponse offer a dynamic new way of creating, distributing and managing your customer e-marketing campaigns and messages. Subscribers have full access to newsletter templates, email messaging tools, track and reporting features, social media integration and other features necessary for successful and accurate customer marketing and outreach efforts.
Once you configure which provider you wish to use, your customer data will be generated in the proper file format. You’ll simply upload your data and send!
Why it’s happening
The external email marketing vendors we integrate with will help you comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. In order to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, any emails of a commercial nature that a business sends must offer a “clear and conspicuous” unsubscribe feature. The best way to ensure your emails contain the proper opt-out function is to have them sent via an external email vendor.
New options for reseller accounts
As we remove the “E-mail” format option in the Customer Report, we are making sure all users will have the option to send their customer lists to an external email marketing vendor. To meet those needs, we are adding new options to enable the Email Marketing Plugins for any account assigned to a Value Added Reseller (VAR).
