- Customer Name in Salutation
Email notifications have been updated to enable both the first and last name of the customer to be included on appointment or event notification emails. When the salutation is enabled for the notification, the site administrator can determine which of the name fields shall populate (if data exists in the system) into the email body.
- Salutation Text Format
The salutation within email notifications has been modified to allow the administrator to control if the format of the salutation should include a comma after the intro and name values configured for the message. Changes to the usage of the trailing comma are applied on each notification, while the selection of names are set globally for all notifications.
- Action Links in Email body and ICS
The calendar attachment sent in conjunction with notifications for a newly scheduled appointment or event has been updated to include action links that enable the customer to confirm, cancel or reschedule their appointment or event. In the event that the customer deletes the originating email, they still have access to communicate with the business about their appointment or event.
- HTML Emails
Email notifications have been updated to include support for visual style adjustments based on applied HTML tags. Administrators with access to edit notifications will now be able to alter the font face, size and style, as well as insert hyperlinks within the body of the email notifications. An editor has been enabled on each field where HTML tagging may be applied.
- Payscape Credit Card Reader
The AppointmentPlus system has been updated to enable use of physical credit card swipe devices when accepting payments through the point of sale (POS) plugin. For the Payscape gateway, the cashier/site administrator can now choose to swipe the customer's actual credit card through Payscape-supported devices and process the payment for the service or product based on the swiped card information.
Errors when sending email notifications with Calendar Export
Email notifications have been updated for accounts using the Calendar Export plugin that ensures the notifications are delivered consistently from the correct sender information for resellers and direct clients of AppointmentPlus.
- Unsubscribe link not appearing at bottom of email
Email notifications have been updated to enable users to unsubscribe from notifications related to appointments or events. This will be appended to all emails automatically that are sent to any user in the system, including Staff Members and Customers.
- Email Marketing Footer removal
The email notifications are being updated to remove the AppointmentPlus marketing footer from customer and staff appointment and event notifications. Notifications will be limited to information on specific to the appointment or event that the customer is scheduled to attend.
- Customers charged for appointments, no appointment created
The appointment booking flow for customers has been updated to prevent situations where customers attempt to pay for an appointment that doesn't get completely and accurately booked. In some situations, when a user was selecting an open time slot, if the page wasn't fully loaded, the appointment booking process would be compromised. The customer would still be sent through the payment process, but when completed, the appointment was not completely saved to the calendar. In order to address this situation, the page is being updated to ensure users cannot select a time slot until all available slots within the day selected has fully loaded on-screen.
- Unable to update appointments through iOS Mobile App
The Mobile Site Administrator for iOS was updated to accurately enabled administrators to update existing appointments on the calendar. This resolves an issue where a status change was being made within the app, but not updating within the system for future appointment accesses.
