To place someone on the waiting list, click on the View Waiting List link below the calendars on the left side of the appointment page in Site Administration. A Waiting List window will display showing all the current customers on the waiting list.
To add a customer to the waiting list, select them from the "Select Customer" drop down list. Enter any notes in the text box below the "Select Customer" drop down. Click on the Add button.
To remove a customer from the waiting list, click on the Delete button on the right side of their waiting list entry. The waiting list does not automatically e-mail customers nor does it automatically set appointments for customers if a time slot opens up. If a time slot opens up, the customer would need to be contacted to find out if they would like the time slot. Then you would create the appointment as you normally would create one.
On the Customer View, if you have the 'display waiting list' preference set to 'yes' (Waiting List > Preference #1), it will allow your customers to place themselves on the waiting list. If a customer places themselves on the waiting list, they will display in the Waiting List window described above. A designated person at the company will also receive an e-mail notification. This person can be designated by clicking on the Settings tab in Site Administration, then by clicking on the Store Waiting List Notification E-mail on the left side in the E-mail Notifications section.
