The Predefined Sales Report is used to generate a sales report using one of the five preset report types. This report will only show for accounts that have the Point of Sale plugin enabled through the AppointmentPlus Marketplace.
NOTE: This report is available to Headquarters and Location Administrators.
You can use the report to:
- View a summary of sales data for a custom date range.
- View sales transactions by category, sales rep, and date.
To Access the Predefined Sales Report:
- Click on the Reports tab
- Select the Sales Reports (Predefined) link
Report Details
There are currently five types of predefined sales report available. Each report type provides a different breakdown of the sales data.
- Daily Summary Sales Report – Provides a summary of sales data for a custom date range. The amount of sales transactions processed will be listed for the following categories: Products and Services, Gift Certificates, Prior Date Transactions, Payment Method and Item Type, and Sales Rep.
- Daily Summary Sales Report (By Category) – Provides a summary of sales data by Product Category for a custom date range. The total amount of sales transactions processed will show for each Product Category, as well as transactions for items without a category selected.
- Daily Detailed Sales Report (By Transaction & Category) – Lists predefined sales data for transactions processed for a custom date range. Transactions are sorted by Product Category, including items without a category selected.
- Daily Detailed Sales Report (By Date & Customer) – Lists predefined sales data for transactions processed for a custom date range. Transactions are sorted by the date they were processed, and the name of the customer that purchased the item.
- Daily Detailed Sales Report (By Rep & Date) - Lists predefined sales data for transactions processed for a custom date range. Transactions are sorted by the date they were processed, and the name of the associated Sales Rep.
To Run the Predefined Sales Report:
- Start with the Select Location option to only view sales data for a specific location. The drop down will always default to the All Locations option.
- Next, use the Select Date Range section for view sales transactions for specific dates. This option will always default to the current date.
- Choose from one of the five available predefined report types in the Select Report section.
