If a staff member is "inactive", they will not display as being available for appointments on the appointments page in admin and on the client view. They will still be able to log into admin, though.
An "active" staff member will display in admin on the appointments page as being available for appointments. If they are active and their "Allow Customers to See" value is set to "yes", they will be available to clients using the Customer View.

I had set several of my staff members to 'active' but checked 'no' on the allow customers to see. I thought that this would allow them to remain visible to me and appear in my reports but that my clients would not be able to see them and make appointments. I have had several of these active/no allow customer to see staff members email me that students had made appointments with them. Upon checking, when I had them with those two properties, they were showing up as having available time slots. Can you help me determine what happened?
